AMERICAN PRIDE

AMERICAN PRIDE

American pride wasn’t born the day Lee Greenwood sang “Proud to Be an American” in 1985 but it sure got a reviving shot in the arm from it.

American pride has been a marvel to the rest of the world since even before 1776 when we won our independence from the British.

Most of our identity and American pride is wrapped around freedom. It isn’t just the 4th of July, it isn’t just waking in the morning and having many, many choices available, it isn’t just that we are free to pursue happiness in the way that moves each citizen’s soul, and it isn’t our right to vote, to own a store or a gun or go after an education, or worship as we wish, or speak our minds – even protest, or (God forbid) burn the flag. We have so many freedoms that few others on this earth have. Our American pride is our freedom and it is the envy of the world.

We have millions of uniformed men and women who voluntarily serve our Nation to ensure each of us has all those freedoms and more. In fact, they are willing to die so our Americans and her allies can be free.

But folks, freedom isn’t free. We have a debt to pay to those who are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We have to feed, cloth, and support our military force when active duty, in the guard or reserve, or retired. And we owe it to them to make sure their families are okay while they are serving. And we owe them the gift of gratitude. We say thanks and show American pride at the same time when we stand up and proudly wave the flag, or wear a flag symbol on our lapel or as a bracelet, or necklace.

Show your American pride everyday with items like these from our Pride in the USA store.
